- GCMFA currently has 50 corporate members comprised of
investment companies and professionals serving the Mutual Fund
community including accountants, attorneys, banks, custodians,
transfer agents, etc. Examples of some of the meetings,
workshops and activities of the GCMFA over the past few years

discussions regarding current mutual fund accounting and tax
matters.

providing insights on “Understanding How Adults Learn: A
Wholesaler’s Ultimate Competitive Edge”.
- Summer Operations Workshops—roundtable
discussions regarding current mutual fund operational
matters.
- Basic Mutual Fund Training—instructor-led
training on the operations of a mutual fund. Topics include
regulation, accounting, distribution, taxes, etc.
- Co-Sponsored Seminars and Presentations with the ICI—co-sponsored
several seminars and presentations with the Investment
Company Institute (ICI) including: Sales and Marketing
Seminar, Mutual Fund Trustees’ Workshop and ICI Chief
Economist presentation on the impact of the mutual fund
industry on capital markets.
- Cincinnati Mutual Funds Operations Forum—co-sponsored
with the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA)
addressing taxation, 401(k) recordkeeping, workforce
development, internet communications, etc.
- Fall Annual Dinners—past featured speakers have
included economist Joel Prakken, Congressman Rob Portman,
Barry Barbash of the SEC, Richard F. Hokenson, Chief
Economist of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette; Don Phillips,
Publisher, Morningstar; Ralph Acampora from Prudential
Securities; and Matt Fink, President, Dan Crowley, Chief of
Governmental Affairs, and Elizabeth Krenztmen, Chief Legal
Counsel, Investment Company Institute.

members and guests.
