DESCRIPTION:GCMFA Mutual Funds Basic Training Workshop\nTuesday\, March 5\, 2024\nWorkshop: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm\nCost: Free For GCMFA Members\n$50 non-member fee\nBasic Training at Atrium II\nEY Office\nFirst Floor Conference Room\n221 East Fourth Street\nCincinnati\, OH 45202\n—Lunch is provided—\n  \nTodd Heim (Ultimus)\, Joey Ludwig (EY) and Ryan Wheeler (Thompson Hine) are the presenters for this training course designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of how mutual funds are structured\, assessed and sold. The following key areas will be covered during this training: \n\nPart I: Fund Basics – we’ll take a look at common mutual fund objectives\, the risk/reward characteristics of the securities they invest in\, legal and compliance considerations and the advantages associated with mutual funds.\nPart II: Purchasing Mutual funds – we’ll assess how a fund’s share price is determined\, where investors go to purchase funds\, the various types of sales charges that exist\, and examine what makes up a fund’s expense ratio.\nPart III: Comparing mutual funds – we’ll examine the criteria that investors and investment professionals use in comparing various funds: performance\, expense\, risk indicators\, etc.\n\nFollowing the Basic Training\, Members are invited to attend a Spring Networking Event from 4:00-8:00pm at the Backstage Event Center\n625 Walnut Street\, Cincinnati\, Ohio 45202. \nDeadline for Reservations: February 28\, 2024 \nClick here for Basic Training Workshop Flyer.\nRegister via email or fax the Registration form to 1+513-939-2653 by February 28\, 2024
