Basic Training Workshop

Todd Heim (Ultimus), Joey Ludwig (EY) , Steve Schoch (PNC), Julie Thomas (FEG) and Matt Donlan (Constellation Insurance) are the presenters for this training course designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of how mutual funds and ETFs are structured, serviced and sold.  The following key areas will be covered during this training:

Part I:  Fund Basics – We’ll take a look at how mutual funds and ETFs are structured and discern the key differences between these products.

Part II:  Perspectives / “Who’s Who” / Fund life cycle –   We’ll introduce key players in the mutual fund / ETF ecosystem, discussing various service providers and roles including the investment manager, the distributor, fund officers and more.

Part III: Perspectives and statistics – We will walk through some key compliance and regulatory aspects of funds and point out where all of you and your firms fit into the mix as well as talk about current industry developments.

Part IV:  Comparing mutual funds – we’ll examine the criteria that investors and investment professionals use in comparing various funds:  performance, expense, risk indicators, etc.
